Using a method offers a few advantages over duplicating a previous study:
- Time Savings: Duplicating a study will only copy over the programming, whereas creating a method saves both the survey and the sample.
- Governance: You control how other Methodify users in your organization access and field methods. For example, you can have a researcher design the perfect survey, create a method from it, and then allow other non-research users to field that method while restricting them from making changes to it.
- Consistency: Some research relies on keeping as many variables as possible as consistent as possible from wave to wave. A method is the perfect solution for maintaining consistency in both study design and sample frame.
