Methodify’s Insight Score is a reporting feature for all of our Standard Methods. It is designed to give you a quick sense of how all of the stimuli (ideas, concepts, offers, etc.) you are testing in one study compare to each other. The higher the number, the better the idea did overall.
Once you have seen how the ideas did relative to each other, you will want to dig into the data to find out the details.
The Insight Score is based on a proprietary formula that assigns weights to the top 2 box scores of key measures, e.g. likeability, relevance, likelihood to recommend, etc. In a case where a client chooses to substitute different measures for a standard measure (e.g. replace purchase intent with appeal), those new measures will then be substituted as part of the score. This is a key reason why you should use caution when comparing Insight Scores across projects. The Insight Score is not meant to be a standalone score or a comparison to a norm in any way (e.g. 100 is not ‘average’), but rather is intended to be used as a starting point to evaluate the results of a single test.
