Create survey with AI

Do you need to create survey but don't know where to start? Have AI start creating a survey for you on Methodify Go.  Simply provide a prompt with the survey topic and objective, and a survey will be created that you can revise and customize before launching your project.

Follow the steps outlined below to have Methodify and AI help you create a survey.

1. Select "Get started with AI"

   On your project's configure page, click "Get started with AI" in the Survey card.

2. Enter your prompt

A modal will open where you can create a prompt that tells the AI what you want to learn from the respondents and any other research objectives.  When your prompt is complete, click the "Generate questions" button.

3. Review and add AI-generated questions

The AI will generate a survey based on the prompt provided.  Review the questions and decide if you want to add them to your project or generate new questions by changing the prompt.

• The "Add to Survey" button will move the questions to the Methodify survey editor, where you can customize them with media, survey logic, and revise any text.  
• If the questions generated aren't the starting point you were hoping for, click "Change survey prompt" to go back to the previous step where you can adjust the prompt and have a new set of questions created.

4. Once your questions have been added to the survey editor, you can tailor them by using:

• Question and answer logic: Skip logic, screening logic, rotations, min/max, carousel, masking, etc. (Learn more about question settings).
• Media: Add images, videos, or audio to questions. Images can also be added to answer options.
• Advanced question types: Quotas, Hidden, Block, Link Connector, MaxDiff, and Conjoint.
• Revisions: Add, remove, re-order, and/or edit questions in the project survey editor. 
• Languages: Add French or Spanish to an English survey by updating the survey settings and entering your question and answer translations.

Notes:

• Supported question types include Single Answer, Multiple Answer, Grid/Matrix, Multiple Answer Grid, Open End, Numeric, Rank, and Information questions, but you can add more questions in the survey editor after the upload is complete.  
• The AI generator can include answer options with exclusives, randomization, and anchors, and additional logic can be added after upload.
• Screeners and quotas will not be part of the AI-generated survey and should be set within the Sample section of your project. Click here to learn more about Sample.
