In addition to the numerous question types available when building a survey, there are various features within those questions that provide opportunities for further customization.
Change question type
Switch an existing question to a different basic question type (e.g., single answer, multi answer, grid, open end) without having to delete and recreate the question. This helps users save time by retaining key inputs such as question name, answers, scales, and logic where applicable, while removing only data and logic that is no longer relevant to the new question type.
Skip logic
Create rules for a question to show or not show based on previous responses.
Screening logic
Create rules based on previous responses to determine if a respondent should terminate or complete a survey on a specific question.
Answer masking
Mask a single-select question's answers with the answers from a previously asked question in the survey. Responses from the previously selected question will display as answers.
Answer order
Change how answers and scales in a question are ordered for each respondent. Rows and columns can be displayed in order, randomized, or rotated.
Number of options to select
Specify the exact number, a minimum number, or a maximum number of options for respondents to select on a multiple answer question.
Save time when configuring questions with lengthy answer options such as brand lists by selecting "Import Answers" and copying and pasting answers. Insert several answer options into a single, multi, grid, rank, and/or numeric question all at once instead of one at a time.
Add bold, italic, underline, numeric list, bullet list, and color to survey question and answer text.
Pipe text
Pipe in text to survey questions and answer lists from the survey or configure page.
Duplicate an entire block of questions; the block and all of its questions, logic, and references will be duplicated.
View the respondent experience of a specific question without having to start the preview at the beginning.
Filter options for reporting
Select if a question will be used as a filters on a project's reporting page, and create custom groupings of answers if needed.
Save question to library
Save a question to the My Question Library to be used on future projects by anyone in your company group.
Carousel
There is an option on grid/matrix questions to display the question as a carousel interface to respondents.
