Building a survey

With Methodify's Survey Builder, you can create a custom survey to get the data you need.

From Marketplace, click on the Survey Builder tile, or start from the My Surveys tab in the top navigation and then click Build a new survey. If you want to build a survey but don’t have access to this feature talk to your Account Representative.

Give your survey a name, select your language(s) and continue.

Begin by adding a question or a block. You can choose from a variety of question types under the Blank Questions tab including:

• Single answer
• Multiple answer
• Multiple answer grid
• Grid/Matrix
• Open end
• Numeric
• Rank order
• Information
• Block
• URL parameters
• Hidden questions
• Link connector
• MaxDiff powered by Sawtooth
• Conjoint powered by Sawtooth
• Monadic block
• Sequential monadic block

Under the Methodify Questions tab, you’ll find a number of commonly used pre-written questions, and under My Question Library, you can save questions that you have written to use in your own future surveys.

As you are writing your questions, you have many settings options to choose for each question, and can always preview what your survey will look like to a respondent by clicking the Preview Survey button at the top.

Click Done Editing and your survey will be saved under My Surveys. Click Start Project and you will have the opportunity to name your project and add a sample. Once you start a project, an editable copy of your survey will be attached to the project, and your original survey will continue to be available in My Surveys. Once you’ve started a project, the project will appear as a listing in your Workspace.
